Oh well periwinkle and sue had a chance to meet four 50-60 yrs old ladies from Australia who were having a grand old time. They were touring around and then had plans to walk 7 days on the Camino trail. Cool if you know what that is, which I do.
Anyway we made it to the winery where they grow, stomp and bottle port wine. Apparently they stomp wine for two hours in the morning, then someone stirs the mash and then stomps for another two hours. This goes on for three days.
Then the bus took us to the top of a mountain where we were served a great meal over looking the Douro valley. Our waiter looked like uncle Leo from Seinfeld. Great guy our table of four Canadians and three Vietnamese people had fun. Drank two bottle of red and two of wine. Buttered up uncle Leo ...
Then back to another winery and then a 1/2 hour boat cruise along the Douro river which was fabulous. Then back to the bus for the two hour ride back
Had some take away empanadas and packed for a 6 am flight to Madeira Portugal. So let u know how that turns out
Bye for now
