Todays weather was like a fall rain day in Winnipeg with periodic drizzle and winds.
But since Kerry and I did some incredible research on Porto we discovered that Porto is renowned for its francesinho sandwich. So then, who makes the best sandwich in Porto we asked? We came up with the top five restaurants serving this delightful master piece, and off we went in search of belly happiness 1.3 km away.
Our suite provides umbrellas so under the protection of this marvel of engineering we struck out against the forces of nature.
Enroute a candy store, nice, church very nice, quaint little stores and finally “cafe san tiego” appears before us. In we go table for four and one of these delightful master pieces roll out of the kitchen one after another. I literally started salivating like I’m one of Pavlov’s lost dogs looking at them.
Kerry and order one each and OMG were they good. Bread, meats, cheeses and sauce. Fabulous and a must to be experienced.
We then made our way back to our suite as the rain was very heavy and it felt like a catch up day with the next two days being busy.
For supper Kerry and I went to a local restaurant and had “take away” of 10 empanadas and four deserts, Along with fresh veggies. I was Kerry’s suis chef for the veggies while he whipped together this delicious dressing of vinegars etc. Very nice
Then some rums, speak with my daughters on FaceTime and of course the “weeman” who is like watching a do over of Delaney growing up. He will do anything to illicit a laugh from his mother
Anyway good nite.
