Saturday 18th October - day 57 Udaipur Up at 7.30 we take a rickshaw to the bus station and find a bus to eklingji temple. Paying just 15rps, it takes little over 30mins to get there and ticket man tells us when to get off. A small village with a complex 108 of temples nestled inside - it opens at 10.30 so we have a wonder about until then and get shooed out of another temple area we find. Friday 17th October - day 56 Udaipur 6 of us, me yas, alicia, josh, mark the irish guy and sam from new zealand head down to the boat gate for the trip across the pichola lake. 400rps and its not the most exciting but does give great views of the city which expands up the hills in the distance, the city palace itself, the taj lake palace and we also make a stop at jagmandir - an old palace retreat, now turned posh hotel. Thursday 16th october - day 55 Udaipur Once off the bus (not a wink of sleep) we take a rik down to the city palace where the hostel is apparently next too. 5.20am once we arrive and its still pitch black - it takes us a while to find the hostel down the dodgy alleways.
