so 102 hours after our original flight we were finally on board!! Apparently our plane yesterday was struck by lightening and due to 3 others also being struck there were no spare planes and one had to flown in from Cardiff, resulting in a 6 hour delay for us!!

The flight itself was pretty uneventful, there was lack of sleep but plenty of films to keep us occupied!! The food was interesting, vegetarian Indian cuisine!!

On arrival in Delhi, Heather almost didn't make it through customs as a second officers was called over to double check the photo in her passport was actually her, something she is actually quite pleased about! Then due to the delay that gave us we then panicked when we were told all the luggage had arrived and yet we were still missing Jo's rucksack!!! However we did eventually find it and our driver and made our way to the hostel!

There appears to be no rules on the road, traffic here makes M25 traffic look tame! They don't believe in lanes and apparently all you need to do is use your horn for any situation!!

After a nap at our comfortable hostel, dandoo holiday home, we had to sign in at the hostels guestbook just to find the couple in the room next to us are from West Malling!!! SMALL WORLD!!

We were then taken to the government tourist offices and have now booked a self planned tour for our time in India including personal driver and car, accommodation, Taj Mahal and temples, Camel rides and camel safari and a tiger safari for a modest 275 GBP! bargain!

So after a few hiccups we can happily say India - so far, so good!!
