Hi Folks,
Getting photos onto this blog is still proving difficult so you´ll just have to make do with my chat at the moment! Probably do a massive dump of photos in New Zealand at this rate.
We are on our last day in Buenos Aires. We have been here for about 10 days. The first 5 were taken up with Spanish classes. The first of those was tough! Lady spoke to us in Spanish for the whole lesson! Argh! The the next day they created a diddy class just for us - ha ha ha. Hopefully picked up a few bits and pieces though.
Buenos Aires is a great city. Tip - Ladies if you ever come here on holiday bring an empty holdall and fill it with clothes and shoes! It is so cheap and really nice stuff. We have to be strong and avoid many purchases though as we just can´t carry them.
We went on a day trip to Uruguay yesterday to a sleepy little town called Colonia. So that is another stamp in the passport! The ferry crossing was really rough and lots of peeps were sick. Thankfully I fell asleep or else I most certainly would have been joining them.
We fly to Ushuia tomorrow - southerly most point of Argentina before the end of the earth. It will be cold and snowy there and there will be plenty of glaciers to see! Hoping to take a dog sledge ride across the glacier. From there it is on to El Calafate for more fantastic scenery and a bit of trekking.
Hope you are all well
