So, we chased Leeroy and Tooley to Bangkok (and due to their love of the buckets we caught up with them) and all jumped on the overnight bus / ferry to Koh Phangnan. We found a lovely place for a measly 500THB (10GBP) with a sea view, pool and on an a beautiful strip of beach. This part of our trip we refer to as SPLURGE as we were staying in complete luxury by our standards (the room was basic but the view and pool made it the best place ever), relaxing by the pool by day and having fresh BBQ dinners by night and the odd cocktail.
We did manage to see other areas of the island as Leeroy and Tooley hired motos and so we both hopped aboard and went for a trip to TAn Sala. We had a great evening eating delicious (and extremely cheap) street food and looking around for Full Moon accessories. Oh and I had the best Thai pancake I've ever eaten!!!
FULL MOON PARTY!
The day was spent preparing for the full moon party which again for JH and I meant doing absolutely nothing just lazing by the pool. L and T however wanted to do some last minute shopping for bucket t-shirts and so they went off on their motos. It was getting late and Jh and I did start to get a little worried about why it was taking the boys so long to get the shopping done (we knew they wanted pool time too). Then Tooley came over and we thought all was well, but no.... Leeroy had come off his moped! Disaster!
Thank goodness it wasn't as serious as it could have been but he was told not to go to the beach. Every joint was bandaged up and he had broken a couple of toes. The big question was, what about Full Moon?
Leeroy didn't let us down and we all went to Full Moon road accident or no road accident.
We made our way to Haan Rin, painted ourselves up and went dancing in the sand buckets in both hands and carrying Leeroy whenever possible. AWESOME NIGHT! Watched the sunrise over Haad Rin beach with people still drinking and still dancing, we got to back to the hostel at 8am. Good times.
A few more days of chilling out and recovering and we set sail again, this time to Koh Tao. Where the weather let us down. It rained so much that there was no beach left and what with Leeroy still being injured and under strict orders to try and keep dry in house games kept us entertained (cards, shut the box and pass the pigs).
A stop in Koh Samui and a ferry ride later we were making a quick get away into Malaysia before our Visas ran out.
