Our time spent in Luang Prabang isn't really anything exciting but we really enjoyed the towns peaceful and spiritual atmosphere. We spent our first day doing our very own walking tour of the town, we past many beautiful temples and ended up walking along the riverside. Around each corner we encountered the differing contrasts of daily life, from tuk tuk drivers offering you a cheap trip and boat owners trying to drum up some business to monks of all ages stroll...

After crossing the border from Thailand to Laos at Chiang Khong (which was literally just crossing a river) we decided to brave the two day slow boat to the peaceful city of Luang Prabang from Huay Xai down the Makong Delta.
