From Mexico City we travelled for 15hours on the bus to San Cristobal del la casas which was a really cool little colonial town 2000ft high. We absolutely loved it there and stayed for a few nights. We went horse riding through an immensely muddy forest, on Amando and Hernandez the horses, andvery nearly fell off! We ended up in a random village that was celebrating a saint´s day by drinking copious amounts of vodka and coke to cleanse themselves and lighting candles on the dry grass covered church floor that Jon nearly managed to set fire to.

After a few days there we moved to Palenque to see the Mayan ruins in the middle of the jungle which were really cool. You can climb up them so Jon was very happy. It´s actually hotter than the sun here compared to San Cristobal that was above the clouds. Off for some tacos now! Much love xx
