Buenos Aires... via Rosario! I depart Iguazzu Falls and head for Rosario, a stop off prior to Buenos Aires. Rosario I stop in the university city of Rosario to break the journey and have some rest prior to arriving in Buenos Aires... a city that never sleeps.. and given I have rather hesitantly booked into Millhouse, which I hear is ´party party´ house, I thought some quiet time would be good! Rosario, why hear, well, why not and to be honest, was fascinated...

Iguazu Falls.... spectacular! A trip to both the Argentinan and Brazilian side! I left Rio on Sat 20th and took what should have been a 21hour overnight bus to Iguazu Falls... which turned out to be more like 25hours!!! A number of stops on the way- either to pick up people or drop them off... or a refreshment stop! It took HOURS... especially when a couple of hours prior to our expected time of arrival, we were kind of getting psyched up to the arrival! But...

Rio... final week and thoughts... Following Carnival weekend, the 3 trips to the Sambadrome, Blocos and a trip to a local island... a week of recovery was required... with thoughts ahead of my next destination... plus a chance to finish my stay in Rio in style.... Hangliding!! Blocos Apart from enjoying the formal carnival parades, we also ventured to a Bloco, dressed up for the occasion as many are.... feathers, hats, costumes etc.... A big street party at P...

Rio Carnival Getting back to my blog nearly 2 weeks after carnival! Carinval! CARNAVAL!! A-MA-ZING! Our final week in work loomed, prior to Carnival weekend! It was a good week, where the staff were a lot more relaxed, given at this point, most of the costumes who have had to be shipped out to those dressing up for carnival! We enjoyed our last few days with our colleagues... plenty of photo opportunites and humour! Even getting to grab some spare feathers...

Back to my blog... after a few weeks! Can´t believe I´ve been here 3.5weeks! Another 1.5wks in Rio, then off to explore the rest of South America... well the southern parts and west coast!
