Made it safely to Singapore on Thursday. Staying in a hostel in Little India called Footprints - all good so far. Singapore is tiny, only about 25km wide, but I feel that so far I have walked at least twice that!

Have been round the shopping malls of Orchard Road (air conditioned heaven!) according to my map there are over 60 malls in about a 6km square. Thats a LOT of shops that I can't afford to enter. After that I decided a bit of culture was needed - so I had a wander round Chinatown to see the temples, then through all the little streets with the vendors selling all kinds of stuff that every tourist needs... I resisted it all. Well done me.

I met up with Camilla on Friday evening, and met her little one. Enjoying a nice home cooked meal for the first time in what feels like ages!

The next few days were spent wandering down to the Harbour and round the Asian Civilization museum - look at me being all cultured. They had a really good photography exhibition on. Spent yesterday at the botanic gardens and then today hopped over to Sentosa Island. Tourist trap and frankly, pants!

So tomorrow I head into Malaysia and to Kuala Lumpur - on a six hour train ride. I can hardly contain my excitement! I've enjoyed Singapore, but looking forward to the next part of my little adventure...

Right, well I'm off to hide in the air conditioned haven of my room. Way to hot for little old me down here. Hope all is well back home xx
