Leg 5 - race 7 - day 10
Got up at 10am had a wrap for breakfast/ dinner then up on deck. Really heeled over cloudy and hot.
On watch for four hours then on shift change over Kevin dressed up as Neptune and we had a ceremony for crossing the equator.
If you have been across the equator you are a shellback but if you haven't you are a pollywog.
So me Carl melody Sean Lindsay and Linda had to go through the ceremony.
We had to confess a nautical sin to Neptune give him a gift then he poured slops in our hair. Then the best bit was we had a sip of rum!!!
Caroline had made an equator cake it was a laugh.
Came off shift and made shepherds pie for everyone. It was so hard as the galley was so heeled over but I managed. Wrote the crew diary and sent an email to Connor from Sophie's account saying if he needs us contact us via this email. Miss the children and Freya and Joey. Also hope my mum is keeping well.

Went off shift at 7pm to bed completely worn out! Had a sleep then back on shift at 11-3 making good speed took a reef out when we first went on shift.
