Leg 5 - Race 7 - Day 3
Woke at 10am and wrote crew diary
Great news to hear we are currently first !!!
Went on deck at 11 so so hot just dripping with sweat. Still had Yankee 1 up wind had dropped but managed to sail between 8- 8.5 knots.
It's Sophie's birthday today. Caroline had made her a cake so we sang happy birthday and she blew her candles out.
Whilst on watch saw a pod of pilot whales they followed the boat for a while it was amazing.
Came off watch on to standby. I wrote the log for the next 4 hours and helped Carl cook dinner for all the crew
Had a sleep 7-11 then on duty. Had a couple of squalls come through (heavy winds and rain) managed to keep the same sails up and get through them.
Went to bed 3am
