Woke at 7.30 had such a good sleep in hotel bed. Absolute luxury. Got up had a shower which was amazing ! So nice to be clean. Went for breakfast in the hotel. Got a local newspaper from reception which had a photo on the front page of our boat.
Went to the boat for 9.30 to help with deep clean. All the crew were there apart from Caroline and melody who went off to the supermarket to buy food for the next leg.
Heard that Sarah had been operated on and all went well.
Busy cleaning boat till lunch then went to the local shopping centre which was 5 minutes walk. Had a Burger King then I popped to h and m to buy some boots and a top.
Back on boat for 2.30 to finish cleaning.
Stopped working at 5.45 back to hotel for drink wash and out again at 7.30 to meet crew at Chinese restaurant.
Made me appreciate being on the Chinese sponsored boat having Chinese crew to look after us in China. Had a really nice meal. Couldn't believe how much it cost! Worked out £12 per head !!!! We had the Chinese crew from our leg join us and previous crew plus those joining the next leg. Such a happy bunch.
Went back to hotel shared a bottle of red wine with sophie and Oliver. Colin (mission) Matt (Danang) joined us later. Had a chat about the race. Good talking to the crew from other boats.
Have noticed that in some of the public places the toilets are a hole in the ground where you have to squat! Bit odd !
Bed late not sure what time but have had a lovely day. Good being in China
