Hi All.

Well we have started our crazy little adventure, we have alreay made some close shaves, 1st one being that we were heading to Heathrow airport the night before we left and realised we were flying out of Gatwick, thank god for Katie and Jez who rescused us by taking us there very early. We really need to pay attention to our route. We turned up for our flight only to find a close friend sat next to us, what are the chances. We had a lot of turbalance on our flight, to the point where they asked the cabin crew to sit down and the air hostess made a very weird noise, it cant be described!

We arrived at Cancun, temperature 31oC-loving it!!! We settled into out hostel and crashed. Next day woke up at 630 and was out by 730, as we are 6hours ahead. Went for a lovely walk along the beach, sea crystal clear and no clouds in the sky. Decided to sunbath, all covered in suntan lotion only to find that after 2 hours I had pretty much burnt my entire body!! My feet have burnt so much they have actually swelled to big giant elephant feet!!Not cool! So me and Pete have had a few days off the sun. Pete decided it would be a good idea to hire some bikes and cycle to Cenote Dzitnup, an underwater cave. The bikes we hired were awful and it took forever to get there in the heat and my bum hurts now, but it was worth it by the time we got there though as we swam in a cave, it was amazing, there was just one whole in the ceiling and there were caves hanging down, bats flying around, the water was so clear and clean and had little cat fish swimming through it. We got caught in a thunder storm on the way back, but were created with beers by our friends so all is good.

We have visited Chichen Itza ruins today,which is one of the seven new wonders of the world. That was after we got on the wrong bus and took a visit to Tizimin, which is in the completely the opposite direction so we just had to get back on the bus, a 2hour wasted journey, how are we going to cope for the next 5 months??It was amazing when we got there though, the ruins were constructed so well and got to learn some new facts. We are now staying in Valladolid, a nice scenic town near the ruins. We are heading back to Cancun for a night out with family and friends and then heading to Isla Mujeres for a night and day. Then down to Tulum for the wedding of the year!! Cant wait. Just need my sunburn to go down and I will be ready to start sunbathing again.
