We woke up to more rain, a power cut and cold water! The thought of breakfast made us get up. We ate at 'Khaosan restaurant and bakery' again. We both had rice soup with chicken.

After breakfast we went to an internet cafe, Jay looked for accomodation in Bangkok and Helen uploaded some pictures. After looking for a while, Jay eventually found somewhere decent for us to stay and within our budget, 'Sawasdee Inn' near Siam Square.

When we got out of the internet cafe, the weather started to brighten up and the rain had cleared. We made the most of the short lived dry weather and sunshine by walking along Chaweng Beach, finally! It was a lovely beach but it had lots of debris from the storm. Jay found a big coconut on the ground but unfortunately we could not eat it as we did not have any tools to crack it open. We found a swing that was attached on a tree and we had a swing on it.

After walking along Chaweng Beach, we browsed around the stalls near our resort then stopped off at 'The Islander' pub for a drink as it started to rain again!

For dinner we went back to 'La Dolce Vita' restaurant as we enjoyed it last night. Jay had a sausage and bacon pizza that was cooked in wood fire. Helen had a shrimp and mushroom pizza that was also cooked in wood fire. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meal whilst watching the rain.

After dinner we went into the 'X Bar' for drinks, whilst relaxing there they had a powercut from the storm but it did not take long for them to get the power up again.
