Straight off the bus around 7am we went to a tour office to arrange a trip for the day. We found one that picked us up at 8.30am and took us round four islands; Mien island, Mot island, Mun island and Tre island. We spent the day swimming, snorkelling, jumping off the boat and there was even a karaoke on the boat which we were greeeeaaaat at! There was also a floating bar that if you swam to you got as many free shots as you could drink so Christelle Dani and me...

We then came back to our hotel to grab our bags and headed for our bus to take us to Nha Trang which is 10 hours north east of Ho Chi Minh city but luckily this night time bus was amazing with reclining seats, blankets, lots of space and no bugs, mozzys, squeaking chairs or coughing spluttering idiots :) happy days!

In the afternoon we walked around the city, looking at the Reunification Palace, the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Central post office and the Ban Thanh market. Then after a yummy lunch of prawn and coconut skewers and a beef and papaya salad, we also went up the Bitexco financial tower, the 5th out of the top 20 ionic buildings in the world, for a skyline view of the city which was amazing because you could walk all around it and see for miles.

We got up at half 7 for an early breakfast and then went to the Cu Chi tunnels made by the Vietnamese during the Vietnam war for protection from the USA bombings. It was an amazing day and we had a tour guide take us round and learned lots about the underground villages, tunnels, schools, hospitals etc. that covered 250km connecting 6 villages. We got up today and got all packed and sorted for Vietnam. Flying in at 5pm we had a 4 hour wait in the airport till Dani arrived from Melbourne at 9pm which was a well needed chill out time after our scare..
