We went on a World Heritage Wilderness Gordon River cruise today. Saw fish farms for Atlantic salmon and ocean trout, Sarah Island a convict settlement which was termed as hell on earth eventually turned into one of the biggest ship building yards in Australia with the help of the convicts. Then a short walk through The Gordon River wilderness at Heritage Landing. Then lastly a quick look through Huon Pine sawmill.

Up early today to go on our steam train ride to Queenstown was a nice day very interesting but long just returned at 6pm left at 8.30am.

We traveled from Somerset to Strahan today stopping at Tullah for morning tea. Road was windy with plantations of very tall gums. After setting up we went for a drive around Strahan and shopping.

Devonport Tasmania. Fairly cool this morning and overcast cleared and warm by noon. The camping ground is quite nice in the daylight. Went to the markets at Ulverstone did our vegie shopping and saw the biggest dog ever. We called in at the Don River Railway (museum) just as the train was leaving for Cole Bay. Had an early rise 5am to get down to Port Melbourne by 7am. We had a 3hr wait to get on the ship. We had a smooth sail over to Tasmania on the Spirit of Tasmania. A very large ship but food expensive will be taking our own next time.
