Cheyenne's turn to wake us up an hour early at 3.55am instead of 4.55am! Good stuff! Up again at 5am and off in a tuk tuk to see the sun rise at Angkor Wat. A huge line of tuk tuks ahead of us in the dark with their wee lights on. Thousands of asian tourists too. So several thousand people waiting to watch the sunrise and get blessings from the first sunrays across the water. Once they all saw the rays they began to leave but the sunrise that was to come once the orange sun finally poked its nose out was simply amazing. Back into the tuk tuk and a trip through the temple that was used for the Tomb Raider movie. Great with no tourists there yet so had the whole place to itself. It is quite a small temple compared to the movie as it seemed large in the movie. Great what they can do with technology. Home for breakfast and a bit more r and r. Mucked around. Went up to the orphanage to donate Eva's money. An amazing little place where people seemed to be doing a great job to support the 76 orphans. The focus is on education. All these kids go to private school during the day then more schooling in the afternoon. The orphanage was originally set up with a $10k donation from an Irishman and now is run by locals with a string of volunteers. Two wee 2 years old boys came running out to great us. The Cambodian people are lovely in every sense of the word and also very beautiful. These kids were stunningly beautiful, looked in amazing health and way too charming for their own good. Very sad to leave them there. What do you do when two wee boys coming running up, one wrapped their body around me and the other around Cheyenne. My one said pick up, pick up. Cute cute cute. Off to by a large suitcase. Lol. John wasn't too happy bout that! Cheyenne is still crook on and off. Eating lovely food and drinking bottled water etc. so just taking it easy.
