We transferred to the Movenpick Resort/Aswan Elephantine. This hotel is the bomb. We actually had to take a boat over to the hotel. I couldn't believe all our luggage (at minimum 110 pieces) was transported by boat, over to the hotel.
The hotel is BEAUTIFUL! And the grounds are immacualte. We made sure our luggage was placed in our room. I tipped the young man who brought the luggage in and he kissed the money several times. It was kinda cute.

Ellen and I were starving and just went on downstairs to enjoy the delicious and I mean delicious food. The hamburgers were the size of Half Dollars and you know I had to get two.
Afterwards Ellen and and a few others from our group were going to go over to visit a Nubian village and take school supplies to the children there.
I decided to putz around on the computer and take a little nap.
The nap didn't happen and Ellen came back to fill me in on what I'd missed. She said that the event was completely out-of-control. Both children and parents were running to get the supplies and candy that the group had brought. A policeman had to push the people back and lock the doors. She also believed that the supplies were not passed out to the children, as they were intended.
She even said that the village was pitch dark and there were no lights, not even a flashlight. They had to walk on an 8" wide plank to board the fellucas. Then the fellucas didn't move because there was no wind. They're in the dark and had to wait for a boat with a motor to come. The sailors (hah) tied two fellucas together with the motorboat between, with rope, to pull the fellucas back to shore. She was pretty salty that they waited to take them there near sunset.
After we talked, I decided to take a walk around the hotel. The grounds are really beautiful and romantic during the night. I also took a few pictures. I talked to the gentleman at the front desk for a while, then moved on back to my room to call it a night.
