We started a bit late today, which was fine. No worries, no rush.
Hope and I headed for lunch in the Windjammer. It's amazing how Hope and I still go for the hamburgers and hot dogs. Some folks sat next to us from, I can't remember now and talked and talked and talked. The woman even passed her phone around showing us picture after picture after picture. I think she said her husband had heart surgery at the Cleveland Clinic and is doing just fine now.
Hope wanted to go and purchase something from the Promenade and we headed there and afterwards went to the casino for a bit. After I lost $20, I was done. We then headed up to the Star Lounge to purchase our Bingo cards. Not really cards, not really Bingo, more like the Lotto drawing. No alphabet involved, just number calling. We purchased a set of 5 or 6 tickets with five or six cards on each. $39 and didn't win a dime. We sat next to an Aussie lady who was a nurse. I asked about the ulcer on her leg. I know, I know, who does that? Anyway, I asked, "how did she heal it?" I told her that my mother suffered with that for years, until she had a skin graph to get rid of hers. The woman stated that she healed it herself by using Paw Paw. I saw that stuff in the drug store when we were in Sydney, even read the label, but didn't buy any. They had bins of the stuff.
After we left there empty-handed, again, it was time to eat. I headed up to get showered and dressed and Hope was stopping by the salon to see if she could have her hair styled. Hope didn't make it to dinner and we all assumed that she was able to be squeezed right in for an appointment.
After dinner, I headed back to the cabin, to blog a bit. The internet is dodgy as a two bob watch (poor quality) on this ship.
After a while, Hope appears with beautiful hair. She stated that it was not what she wanted and gave me a rendition of the stylist's academy award performance while working on her hair. I told her, she really should have filmed it. She said that he had a real workout during his theatrical performance. Cost - $114 dollars for a wash, light weight conditioner, and plow dry. No curls. The Spa did not cater to Black hair.
Hope asked, "chuck us the remote." I handed it to her and turned over.
