Hi this is Luke now, as you can tell from the photo, we are staying on the beach in Ko Lanta that was affected by the Tsunami back in 2004. At first we saw that sign when we were coming to the guesthouse we are staying at and thought something had happened recently! Opposite there is another sign telling people a direction to go to evacuate in case anything does happen...it's quite surreal.

On a positive note though, it's very nice here, the beach is amazing...we took photos of the sunset yesterday evening, and tonight we're going to have a bbq on the beach... they serve you a plate of fish,chicken,pork,squid and prawns with potatoes and salad...for 240 baht, which is about 5 pound! Also noticed a bar showing the Man United v Man City game later at 8pm our time, liz is over the moon!

Booked tickets to get to Malaysia tomorrow, we leave at 7.20 am and get there around 6pm...we're going to Penang first. Excited about meeting Checkie in Kuala Lumpur, can't wait for the lindt chocolate she's going to bring...along with my xmas present from Anne, that's still under the tree apparently. Would be nice if I could have my green superdry tshirt too (somebody tell Checkie lol), I think my Man United top got stolen on a ferry on the way over to one of the islands shortly after we left Bangkok.So i'm one top down. lol.

Hope everyone is well at home, Happy New Year! I'll keep mine short and sweet because I just wanna go rest my feet which look like something out of a horror movie due to being bit by mosquitos and are a bit swollen and painful! May need to go to a pharmacy and get some sort of cream, and take my antihistamines. I have no luck when it comes to bites.

We can't seem to upload pictures to the STA site at the moment, we have loads at the moment, but certain computers will let us and others wont. SORT IT OUT STA!

Because of being screwed over by that Arun Lucky Travel, and because of the flooding in the south we've had to redirect our route, we've probs overspent a bit in Asia... but we'll just have to get work in Australia, top up what we've already saved and build up a load of money because we might include South America...we may modify our trip a bit, but we'll see what the money situation is like closer to the time!

We'll call home in a few days, when we're in Malaysia!
