What to see when you only have 3 days in Sydney?
The time has flown but we seem to have packed a lot in. A boat tour of the harbour orientated us to the key sites and with clear blue skies gave some fantastic photo opportunities. A high light was definitely going to see South Pacific at the Opera House, a very special night. On Saturday we did some window shopping , popped into the Apple shop for some advice and had coffee at Darling Harbour.
We were delighted to meet up with Alex for a long leisurely lunch at the Opera House bar and get some local advice on where to go for a walk in the afternoon. A ferry to Taronga and a coastal path to Mosamon bay happily engaged us for a few hours all the while our back drop been the most icon scenery of Sydney Harbour. Today is Sunday and we met up with Val, a woman after my own heart who took us to The Rocks Sunday market for some serious retail therapy followed by lunch on the harbours edge and a meander around the Botanical Gardens. It's Fathers Day in Australia so there were many families out enjoying the spring sunshine.
The eating has been really good here and I think our waistlines are beginng to suffer, it's hard just to get a bowl of fruit and fat free yogurt for brekkie.
Tomorrow morning we move on again this time for Melbourne. There we pick up a car and drive the Great Ocean Road and beyond arriving eventually in Adelaide on Monday 10 th September. Not sure how we are going to be fixed for access to Wifi on this leg of our tour but hopefully we will get to check In from time to time.
