01/06/08 Our alarm went off at 5.30 this morning and we had to crawl out of bed as it was pretty cold. We managed to get a taxi to the airport with our friend Clare fairly promptly and after checking in at the airport for the hundredth time this trip, we made our way to the waiting lounge. 22/5/08 Drove back to melbourne from Phillip Island, and found a sports centre where we parked our campervan then caught a tram into the city. Decided to see some less touristy spots and spent a hile wandering around Fitzroy - full of arty shops, coffee shops old bookshops and crazy clothes shops. 16/5/08 Set off from our campsite and drove along the Great Western Highway to the Blue Mountains. Stopped off at Wentworth Falls a sweet little town where we visited a second hand bookshop and bought some delicious pies for lunch. Went to Leura where we walked to a view point over a huge valley. 10/5/08 The morning was spent seeing the sights of Byron Bay. We drove up towards the lighthouse and walked up to the top for a stunning view out over the sea and the bay. Watched some surfers for a while before walking down to an outcrop, which is apparently the furthest East point in Australia and saw some dolphins swimming around the surfers!
