Sorry it's taken me awhile to update the blog, lack of Internet and the fact we have been having so much fun it has slightly fallen behind. I will do my best in the next few days to get it back up todate.

We arrived in Kuta at around 10pm after our manic day of climbing a volcano and then travelling by bus and boat to Bali. We weren't really looking forward to Kuta after hearing all the horrible stories about it.

It is very much a package holiday hotspot for 18-30's drunken holidays. The roads are chaotic with cars and many mopeds driven by complete idiots who don't have a clue how to drive. We were hoping to get out of kuta pretty quickly as this really wasn't our thing. The only reason for being there was to extend our visas. We spent 10 days in total in Bali whilst our visas were being processed, we managed to getaway from kuta for a few of those days to Candi Dasa which compared to Kuta was a breath of fresh air however there really wasn't much to do so we read books and chilled out before heading back to the madness of Bali.

Like I said before this part of Bali really wasn't for us however it served a purpose, after 10 days we were heading to Lombok by fast boat.

We were excited to be leaving Kuta.
