Hi everyone,
So after we had totally exhasted ourselves climbing the glacier the afternoon was spent driving further north up the west coast to Kapitea Lodge, where we were to stay the night. The lodge was in the middle of nowhere just assed Hokita and before Greymouth.
The lodge was lovely, very small with only 7 rooms and it was run by a south african couple who made us feel very welcome. I had the sunset room - all yellow and mum and dad had the tasman room which was all sea colours. You got great views of the ocean from where we were.
Spent the evening there, had dinner with the other guests and ended up sitting up drinking with an Irish honeymoon couple until quite late, not the best preparation for a whole day driving the next day!
Love Hayley x
