4th July - Sunday continued....

After we got back from Whitsundays we went to the lagoon for a while to sunbathe then headed back to our hostel to get ready for our boat meal. We met everyone in Beaches Bar and had some food and started drinking. We went to Magnums, then Mama Africas. Throughout the night our numbers dwindled, and it ended up being me, Rach, Tommy, Hobbs, Jacob, and Jordan. One very good but rather crazy night, especially the dance moves that Hobbs was throwing! Got back at 4.30 and we sat outside our room on the floor eating doritos (classy!).

5th July Monday- Hayley set the alarm for 6.30 as we had to be on the bus by 7.30, but she slept through it (oopppsss) next thing we get a knock on the door saying "is Hayley and rachel here you are meant to be on your oz bus its 8.00"..... oh dear, the bus driver actually came to get us, usually they just go. So then it was a mad panic to finish packing and get to the bus, we got downstairs and Rach said "i cant find the camera it must be in the room, we will have to come back for it", come back???? i dont think so, she legged it to the room to get it, then i went to get the food bag but it had gone missing, so anoyed. Anyway we made it on the bus with a nice cheer from everyone :-). made our way to Magnetic Island. We got off at Townsville and got the ferry over there, we checked into our hostel which was on the beach front...paradies! We headed for the beach but it was a little cloudy also we were on crocadile watch as one had been spotted in the sea, so no one was allowed to swim. Had a quiet night that night as we were still suffering slightly from a hangover and the mornings events.

6th July Tuesday - Today we hired a car with Bex and lex our friends from the Whit Sundays. It was pink, had barbie covered seats and we named it Talloolah. We headed up the island to a place called Horse Shoe Bay where we sunbathed. We drove to the forts and had a walk around, we even spotted a wild koala, then went to where the rock wallabies are, not very impressed with these they looked like fat rats! The nights at Magnetic Island were pretty relaxed, tonight we played Bingo and then headed off to bed.

7th July Wednesday - had a lie in today, then headed to the beach, we also went for a walk to a look out that our roomies told us about, however never actually reached it as we couldnt find how to get there, but had a nice walk anyway. We then started to get ready for another crazy night, it was Gender Bender night (boys dress as girls etc). We dressed the boys up in our room in Rachels dresses and Hayleys make up, so funny and they actually loved it. We dressed as guys with facial hair and pouches. Much to rachels embarassment we had to pararde on the table in front of everyone and they ahd to vote who was dressed the best, the boys were soooooo funny, check out the photos!

8th July Thursday - Bus day again today, heading for Cairns, we stopped off at a crocadile farm on the way, which was really good, massive crocadiles. We held a crocadile, snake, had a bird on our shoulder and fed a kangaroo, really good. We arrived at Cairns and checked into Gilligans hostel. We got ready and met our oz bus friends for a meal, however there was only 5 who turned up, but we got more free beer, so we werent complaining. We headed to Gilligans club and the Wool Shed, good night.

9th July Friday - Checked out Cairns today and sun bathed at the lagoon, which is really nice, on the way back we were stopped by a gril who was selling tickets for the party bus on the Sat, we signed up. We headed to Rhino bar were we got a free bbq then headed back to the room to get ready for another night. We had new roomies! two guys from Nottingham Uni (Rach recognised or stalked more like, coz they were on the football team) two girls called sophie and bex and the guy who signed us up for the party bus, Bret. After lots of drinking we headed downstairs to the club. We spotted our friends Jimmy and Matty from Surfers Paradise so stood talking to them and there friends, finished off being a very good night ;-).

10th July Saturday - Had a lie in then had a walk round and sorted our Kiwi experience out. We were supposed to be being good, however we spotted McDonalds and there was a magnetic force which just pulled us in! We had to be out for the bar crawl at 7 so got ready, we headed to the place where we were meating, had a bbq there and then jumped on the bus to the bars, we played some games on the bus, drank lots but just were not drunk at all and then got fed free pizza, was amazing especially the pizza. We finished up in a club that had stupidly expensive drinks so headed back to our fave place Gilligans Club. We met Bret there our roomy then headed back to our room. Another heavy night.

11th July Sunday - Up early this morning as we were going on a rainforest and waterfall tour. However it was raining. We headed to the first waterfall, which had a rock slide, but it was too early and wet for any swimming. Headed to the next place where we had lunch then went to another waterfall which is the one featured on Peter Andre's Mysterious Girl video. Defo had to have a swim here, well hayley anyway, the water was freezing so much so that i struggled to breathe! Hayley swam out under the water fall to the rocks behind, so good. We went to a lake and saw turtles and then to a creek where we saw a platypus. Really good day even though the weather wasn't brill and we had only had 3 hours sleep the night before. When we got back we got ready again for our last night out in Australia :-( headed to the laggon for a pre drinking sesh then to Gilligans where we saw so many people we have met on the way up. Really good night!!!!!

12th July Monday (Today) Had a well deserved lie in this morning then been sorting all our stuff out, going to dye Hayleys hair in a bit then pack, and we are heading out tonioght for a curry then back for a few hours sleep, well try anyway! Our flights at 5.30am so being picked up at 3.00am to head for New Zealand, gonna pack our summer stuff at the bottom as it will be freezing! next time we write this blog we will be there, so see yaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
