Friday night we decided to have an early one as we had to be up early the next morning to get the oz experience bus for our 3 day tour to sydney! We just went for a few drinks round the bars in St Kilda. We had to sneak out of one bar as we saw some guys from the night before and we couldnt be bothered talking to them coz we didnt want to be out all night. Got up at 5am, packed in the dark, checked out and walked in the rain to the bus. We met our fellow travellers for the next few days and our tour guide Craig (crazy aussie surf dude who got crazier as the trip went on). We travelled down to Wilsons Prom where we went for a walk over the mountains. We had our lunch on Squeaky Beach and spotted some wallabes and wombats. We then drove to an old air strip where we saw loads of kangaroos hopping around, we got really close! After driving through the national park we got to Lakes Entrance and had shark and chips for tea! (Tastes the same as haddock!) We then stayed in a youth hostel, all girls in our room, no smelly boys!! Another early start, woken by the hammering rain on our roof, had breakfast and headed to Jindabyne. Here we went for a 5.6km walk through the rainforest in the pouring rain got absolutely soaked!! Made our way up to Thredbo ski resort and stayed in a 4* hotel, luxury!! They even had a jacuzzi which we took full advantage of! After a busy day we were very tired so had an early night. Monday morning we got back on the bus and set off for Canberra. We arrived in the afternoon to the sunshine and went around Houses of Parliament, was v interesting! After grabbing a spot of lunch we set off for Sydney, arriving there at 5pm. We managed to find our way to the station and got the train to Leumeah where we waited for Great Auntie Dorothy and Great Uncle Jack. They totally missed our waving like mad women and drove straight past us! They eventually found us and they drove us back to theirs. They are the cutest old couple ever and even made us sausages and gems for tea! After talking for about 5 hours we decided to go to bed, we had electric blankets and everything. It just reminded us of being at grandma and grandad tuites! A slight lie in the next day then headed to the local library to try and upload our photos however were unsuccessful. AGAIN! We met Dorothy and jack in Campbell town for lunch then explored the town in the afternoon. After another english tea we packed and went to bed. We got a train into the city this morning and checked into our Wake up hostel. Suprise suprise all boys again in our room but it smelt ok yaaaay!!!After choosing our beds carefully we headed off to the Sydney Harbour to see and touch the Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Booked our tickets to see Sex and the City 2 tonight at the cinema right next to the Opera House and going for a meal beforehand. After trekking round all day we are sat in global gossip writing this blog :)
Chow for now
