This morning we got our stuff sorted and hung around the hostel waiting for our taxi to the airport.

We arrived at the airport about 11.30, checked in and grabbed a McDonalds (that was the only choice!) we went down to our gate at 1.30 for our flight leaving at 2.15 and it was delayed!! So we waited an hour and after much faffing we finally took off at 4.30!

The flight was about 1.5 hours. When we arrived in Talara luckily there was a taxi as it was a much smaller airport than we imagined! An hour drive to Mancora and we arrived at our hostel which is actually more like a resort hotel with a huge pool and straight onto the beach! 

We had told the hostel we were arriving about 4 and because we were over 2 hours late they'd assumed we weren't coming and gave our room away! We were all but in separate 8 bed dorms and told we could have our room tomorrow. 

We were shattered so grabbed some dinner and all headed to bed. We didn't have the best sleep as people were in and out all night! Quite strangely one of the girls in my room (Australian) had met someone from Jersey and I know them! Saved me having to explain where Jersey was!
