Lima; Peru's frenetic capital, home to one-third of the country's population. A modern city with chic shopping malls (yay!) enchanting neighbourhoods to explore and one of the continents most important dining scenes.
We arrived in Lima on Monday from Ica which took 4 hours (easy when the films are in English!) so we arrived at 6pm grabbed a taxi to our hostel, checked in went for dinner then to bed! We were shattered!
Tuesday 29th
Got up and went for breakfast (free with the hostel and the best breakfast so far!) then stopped for Joe to have a hair cut, as I was waiting I thought I'd have a manicure! Only 25soles (about £5) the manicure was ok except she actually cut all my nails off!!
We then went in search of the shopping mall, we did have directions but got lost then after asking someone we'd actually walked past it as it was under ground!! It was quite expensive but I did buy some flip flops! I couldn't go there and buy nothing!! Then we wondered back to the hostel and booked a 'Lima by night' bus tour for tomorrow night.
We spent the night in the hostel bar playing charades! It was quite funny. I went to bed and the boys stayed up drinking!
