Hello Guys,
Sorry it's been a while...
We are now in a rainy Malaysia however before this we were sunning it up on the south islands of Thailand.
Our first taste of the island life was Krabi although our journey there wasn't too great. After a 14hour sleeper train and 2 buses we arrived in the middle of no where only to be told that we had to pay again for transport to our accommodation, however Hayley stood her ground and had a Mexican standoff with the owner and his b****y assistant! Hayley won and we were soon at our guest house. (stamping your feet really does work)
We headed straight to the beach where we were greeted by white sands and blue oceans along with plenty of crabs. The beach was really quiet and we pretty much had it all to ourselves. Later that evening we ventured into town for some drinks and food along with a spot of birthday card buying. The town was pretty much like Tenerife, touristy is'nt the word..! The night ended with an accidental stop in Krabi's finest roadside strip bar.
After only 1 night we were on our travels again and we boarded a boat to Ko Phi Phi, our favourite of the south islands. Mike's birthday was spent kayaking to Monkey Island. Which was spectacular although we didn't get to see any monkeys. Hayley can tell you that Kayaking across the middle of the ocean surrounded by speed boats really isn't as easy as it looks!!
We only spent 2 nights in Phi Phi then wre were on a boat again sailing across to Koh Lanta. The journey wasn't quite so smooth this time Hayley actually turned a funny shade of green!
Our guetshouse on Lanta was a little isolated so there wasn't really much for us to do except chill on the beach. The Sunsets were amazing though, especially as we were able to watch from our own little tiki hut! We did however become master rock climbers after several expeditions across the beaches. Bat and ball also became one of our favourite past times!
Much to Hayley's delight conveniently located next to our room there was the world's most amazing cake shop. Hayley managed to pretty much eat her way through the menu in the 3 days we stayed there.
We enjoyed chilling out though and you will all be pleased to know our tans are nicely topped up.
We will let you know the stories from Malaysia soon. Lots of love xxxx
P.s due to a slight technical meets rain error Hayleys camera is now out of action but we will try to put some more pics up soon xx
