Hey All,
Hope everyones well, just thought I would give everyone a quick update on what we have been up too!! We are living in Peterborough near where I work, for the Pearl Group. We live quite close so I just walk to work which is great!! Paul's been working on a farm near here too, however for the last week and next week he has been working in Northern Ireland fixing helicpoters. He'l know next week whether he has a job to come back to near London working on helicopters, or whether he is going to do a harvest!!
We have been filling the weekends in quite well - as there is always heaps to do! About 4 weeks ago we did a bike tour of London with people that we met on our first tour, which was cool. It was our first really hot/sunny day in London so was great. I caught up with a friend from Uni days who is from Canada too - which was great. Two weeks ago we drove to Hunstanton - on the coast to go to the beach. Its definitely not like the Gold Coast - thats for sure! But there were a lot of people! Last I spent the weekend in London - farewelling Kylie and Clare, while Paul had a Central Southland reunion (13 People all from the same area) in Cambridge. Appearantly they all had a really good night, and 11 of them slept in Ross and Garney's caravan - so must have been cosy.
Paul left on Monday, and Georgia and Myself went to Amsterdam on Tuesday for the ACDC concert. Garney, Ross, Saf and Charlotte also went. We just went for the 1 night (2 days) and had an awesome time!! The weather was amazing - which made the city much more pretty than when we went there on our tour. We did heaps in the 2 days we were there(compared to when we were on tour - we must have been buggared by then). We arrived at 8 in the morning - after a 45min flite - everything is so close!! As I had been before I ended up being tour guide - and I was amazed at how good my map reading skills had improved!! We went to the Heineken brewery for a tour, and then went down for a look at the red light district before the concert. We took the underground to the concert - and just followed the ACDC t-shirt'ed crowd - as everything was in Dutch - and we had no idea where we were going! Between us we ended up buying 60 train tickets - only needing 4!! The concert was unreal, and they played all there old songs too which was great! The following day we did a half day tour out to the country side - would have been a bit better if we could have stayed awake on the bus, but was still interesting. In the afternoon we went to the Anne Frank house, and then flew back to Luton that night.
I will put photos on of Amsterdam from our tour, and the trip just been, will also update the London sights and England Sights files!!
Missing yaz heaps,
Luv Haylee and Paul oxo
