Hey All
Well I thought it was about time I updated this, haven't done it in ages, as you will know! Will endeavour to keep it more up to date over the next few months of adventures! So I will give you a quick run down of what I had been up to before we went to Turkey! (February Paul left - and I spent most of February and March working)!
At the end of March Mum and Dad ventured over, and I met them at Heathrow which was v. cool. We stayed in London for 4 nights, and checked out heaps of the London sights. We went to the Tower of London, on the London Eye, to Somerset house, Downing Street and heaps of other sights - which the photos will show! We went to the theatre to see Jersey boys which was also pretty cool. Departing London, we picked up the rental car drove first to Canterbury, then on to the white cliffs of dover, where I took a piece of a cliff as a souvenir, which soon disintegrated through the car! Our first night was in Brighton, then around the south coast the following day to Plymouth, and Cornwall. Then it was on to Cardiff - then back to Bristol for me to fly back to Edinburgh. The following weekend I caught up with them again in Blackpool, where me and Dad went on the steepest roller coaster (apparently) in Europe - and dam near the oldest! It broke down right before we were to get on too which made it even worse!! Anyway we survived, and after that we zigzagged our way North to Edinburgh. Mum and Dad flew out to Ireland the following day, and ended up having to ferry back 4 days later as the stupid ash cancelled there return flight! Then it was off around Scotland for a look, we completed the same loop we did at Christmas time - except this time there wasn't 2 feet of snow everywhere - so it looked way different which was fun! Then Mum and Dad returned to London for their home flight - which was only delayed a day for the ash cloud!
Was great to see them - thanks for comming and visiting!! Will upload some photos shortly!!
