WiFi is wonderful. Here we are waiting for the flight onto Cochin and the land of great food, massages and great stories. In six hours time it will all envelope around us.
Got to KL early morning and confused the hotel by arriving four hours before we could get into a room! Spent the time sleeping on lounge chairs around the pool sheltering from the thundering rain.
Afterwards it was time for a spot of shopping and we visited Lot 10 which was full of designer brand type shops and an interesting stainless steel look. Jenny was off in search of shoes and those types of things that girls like.
We then visited a more down market shopping centre on the other side of the road which probably had in excess of 1000 shops including optometrists, retro, grunch, multi mobile phone shops and of course shoes. After visiting many we didn't buy one single pair!
In the afternoon we went on a tour to Kuala Selangor where we saw the locals feeding a troop of ravenous monkeys overlooking the Malacca Strait. We had dinner by the river as the sun set and then took a boat onto a colony of fireflies that were in the trees beside the river. The insects were tiny but emited a bright light that looked very much like Christmas lights. It is formed by enzymes that the insect forms chemically and they only live for two months so by the time we get back from India half of them will be dead.
Jenny finally brought a pair of shoes this morning before we caught the bus here to wait for the final leg onto India.
HB could you please contact the Horny Hearts and get their e-mail address so we can include them in this blog. They can e-mail us at haycocks.

Wendy and Doug So pleased to hear that you took some time over the choice of your first purchase, Jen. Way to go. xxx
Mary Wilkins Sounds great, thought you would buy more than one pair of shoes. See how many pair you arrive home with.
