Its our last night in Kuala Lumpur so thought I would make use of the cheap internet and update our blog (plus being organised also!).
Even though the flight from Phuket to Kuala was only 1hr 15min it took most of the day - we booked a hostel in 'chinatown' which meant the taxi driver couldn't drop us direct at the door so we had to trek through the chinatown market (for those of you that have been it was twice as busy, smelly and hectic as koh san in Bangkok!) with out bags - whilst it was raining - not good. Didn't take us to long to find our hostel but unfortunately not such a good room pick by me - our hostel has no windows and even though we have grown fond of fan rather then air con the fact that only one plug socket works means we have to choose between camera and pics or cooler air! Dave has since referred to our little Kuala home as 'a prison cell' ooops - oh well only a place to sleep and after the bad start things picked up when he realised we were opposite a KFC and Nando's was also down the road!
So today was our full day which we made the most of - in the morning we got up early and queued to ensure our Petronas tickets - then went off to the Bird Park - it was raining a little but unfortunately it wasn't a rain droplet that landed on my head!!! Yes a bird s*** on moi! Dave thought it was highly amusing and said i was lucky as it was only a little bird!!!! After that we went onto the Butterfly park which i actually really liked (not so many kids!) we took some great pics, well until my camera battery run out (Rich - Dave took too much joy in this!!! - however after his taunting his ran out later too! chuckle)
After this we took our flight to the Sky Bridge of the Petronas towers and had dinner at , you guessed it - Nando's!!
As not much sleep had last night (due to dodgy room pic by me) we have spent the remaining hours of tonight booking and preparing for Singapore - very much looking forward to it but will be over as quick as Kuala and we will then be in the land of Oz ready for Xmas and NY!!!!
