Before we left to Ko Samui we headed to the half moon party at Ko Pagnan it was one of the best nights we have had better than the full moon definately. Its set in the jungle lot less people and its a purpose built place with a hude DJ booth in the air, we had great fun with the guys from Ireland they were leaving the next day so they had to be up early to catcch their taxi.
Just chilled the next day the on my birthday had a great day thanks for all my messages and emails they were great, we spent some time down the beach then headed up to the bar to have some beers the staff were cooking me a fish marinated in burmeise curry and got some wine in special for us (the wine is really expensive and quite rare in the bars). We had met a really cool guy John who was away for a month with his son Dave so they joined us for dinner they bought me a bottle of red wine (they know me so well) and a card signed by them and the staff which was really nice. The meal was fantastic we had chicken satay, calamari and prawn crackers then my fish was amazing a whole fish it was huge! After dinner the lights all went out and all the staff bought a birthday cake in and everyone sang John had been to get the cake and the staff had all decorted it with my name etc it was a lovely suprise we all shared the cake and another bottle of wine. Had a great day!
We left next day sad as we were to leave we had to move on as we had been there for 8 days. We had heard very mixed things about Ko Samui but decided to come and check it out, after a boat ride across we got to our apartments they were quite nice.
Not much to tell in Ko Samui its really built up very different than Ko Pagnan we had only got 2 nights booked so had a look around the place. The beach was nice and there and lots of nice bars though most of them are really seedy, we went to a lady boy show which was hilarious. Obviously some you can really tell that they are men but some you could not at all had a laugh there got some good photos (will upload them in next couple of days).
We booked a boat over to Ko Tao for the next day as we wanted to do some diving and apparently Ko Tao is the place to go. We left dinner time and arrived in Ko Tao after about 3 hours.
