hello from slovenia, it's so lush here. helen is trying to swindle me out of money at every opportunity-?' i only owe you 3 euros.....oh maybe it's 5.....' think i should just blame her maths not her heart! mwah ha haaaaa. hostel here is phenomenal! it's a converted prison, we're staying in a cell with a door and an inner cage door, which has been useful for clothes drying and comedy photos. bought a sunflower for 50cents which features in many photosa and has made our room fell homey. have tried in vain to put photos on net for many hours, it's not working (been to two places) so don't have any photo room and can't upload! argh!!! will try more in venice, and do nothing photogenic until then. walked along the river (or should i say stream?) lots and walked past loads of places i'd been to here last summer with the family, which was really nice. didn't do any galleries, jstu ate ice cream, coffee and walked (and a 2hr flop on the bed, mansionette style, reachable by ladder!). going to book good paris hostel now near the pantheon and the sorbonne so we can catch arty intellectual students before we come back! ooh ate in a mint acef, which is the founding memebr of the "Society for the recognition of sauteed potato and onion as a dish in its own right', and had a hilarious old waitress who was really radgy-onlz smiled when i got money out for the bill! the vegetarian platter was interesting but edible! must go book, hope taking liy down wasn't too stressfulk mum! xxxxx
