Today we have quite a distance to cover, as we head to Fox Glacier.
After the adrenalin filled day in Queenstown it is a good opportunity for everybody to relax a bit and prepare for the glacier walks of tomorrow.
Fox is a very small town, and there really is not much to see in the village itself. The evening activity therefore does not take place in the village, but in the forest as we set out on a "spot the glow-worm" walk.
This is really funny, because we have to do this walk without our flashlights. This because the light that glow-worms emit is very weak and would simply not be seen in the light.
We therefore form a long queue by holding the shoulders of the previous person with Kate up front (she uses a small torch from time to time to check the path). It is very funny because the walk goes over some unequal terrain and over small bridges. Especially for the girls this appears to be sometimes quite exciting
We manage to see some glow-worms, and it really is a very cool experience!
