After breakfast (nasi goreng ) I decided to go for a walk in the surroundings of the hotel, as Martinus, the driver that would come pick me up and bring me to my aunt and uncle would not arrive until 12:00.

I recognized some things from the last time I was in Bali, but apparently not the way to Kuta Square. After walking for quite some time I had to turn around in order to make it back to the hotel on time. When I got back to the hotel Martinus was already there to pick me up and we quickly went to Nusa Dua where my relatives live.

After greeting everybody and giving them the presents I had brought we went for a nice lunch on the beach. It was very nice to meet them again after all these years, and we took a lot of time to talk about all kinds of stuff. After a coffee Martinus brought me back to Kuta in the afternoon.

That evening I walked to Kuta beach, which really is a very nice area with lots of bars, restaurants and shops along a very nice beach. After lingering on the boulevard for a while I decided to go to a nice restaurant where I had a fabulous Chicken curry with lontong (= type of rice). Especially the pieces fried tempeh are really good!

I walked back to the hotel at a quiet pace, and decided to relax and catch up some sleep after all the intense travelling through Japan.
