After sleeping in and spending some time on the airport in Osaka I finally fly to Bali (Indonesia) in the beginning of the afternoon, only to arrive there at 23:30.
When you go to Bali, you have to buy a visum on arrival. There are two types, depending on the length of the stay in Indonesia: 7 days or storter and 30 days. Since I still arrived on Wednesday, I was technically to spend 8 days in Indonesia and therefore had to buy the 30 day visum, which cost me 25 dollar instead of 10 dollar for 7 days. The extra 15 dollars for 30 minutes seemed a bit overpriced to me, but: rules are rules.
It was a bit of a hassle to find a taxi, because none of the taxidrivers wanted to use a meter. I finally gave in and agreed on a price, since I was tired from the trip and just wanted to go to the hotel.
The hotel is located very close to the beach, on a short walk from Kuta beach IF you walk in the right direction . The hotel was not as luxurious as the hotels I've had in Japan, but overall it looked clean and the bed was comfortable.
