My last day in levin - why does it go so quickly? First call a coffee at the old court house and a dose of gay wit served by the barista who has left his heart and disco shorts in Sydney. He has a huge heart and is currently fundraising for an irrigation system for the rose garden. Then a quick visit to see grandma - she only has so much energy and we are finding small visits are less tiring. We are happy to see she is having a good day and has opened all the presents she recieved for her birthday.
Donna, Rochelle and I go to Palmerston north for breakfast but our chosen cafe is closed! We improvise and go to one in the eats street with mixed results. We get a call from jan telling us mum and Ralph are coming over for lunch, so we have to head back to levin, but as most things are shut our time in Palmerston was over anyway. We end up having a lovely lunch outside with some of grandmas leftover carrot cake. We return to see grandma one more time just as she is anout to have dinner, but shd is still having a good day A lazy afternoon mooching around the farm, a simple BBQ dinner, then we all watched a classic movie the princess bride! We go to bed early and I say goodbye to everyone as I will be leaving too early to see them. It has been a lovely visit and I am already looking forward to my next visit which will be sooner rather than later due to grandmas age and fragility.
