I was first to awake and after showering & getting ready I woke Amanda & Stefan at 11:50am. When I stepped outside I could immediately feel the heat. Of course I had to make the most of this and engaged in some sunbathing whilst the others got ready.
I made breakfast for Stefan & I of local sausages & fried eggs. To go with our mimosas. The unexpected good weather was a great bonus to the day.
Our first stop was the walls of the city. The 1.6mile walk on top of the walls, allowed us to get a good perspective of the city & it's history.
We grabbed lunch once again overlooking the old town pier, as the wind picked up & dropped the temperature somewhat.
I returned to the apartment for a spot of further sunbathing. While Stefan & Amanda headed to the Biker bar and to use its Wi Fi to watch a basketball game.
We went to dinner on the other side of the city walls in a restaurant that catered to tourists. The food & ambience was amazing. My John Dory fish was exquisite. It was Amanda turn to randomly guess at wine. This worked out again, which added to the meal. Unfortunately we were unable to do the wine tasting this evening as the bar had closed. On a Sunday night in Dubrovnik the only bars open late were the Irish bars. We tried Katie O'Connors before returning to Karaka. Here sadly the evening was somewhat diminished by the presence of drunken English louts. These southerners spent the evening singing songs in typical Brits abroad fashion.
At least we managed to grab a drink after hours. We decided it was best to head back to the apartment as our tolerance levels were dropping.
Champagne & CCTV (Chinese news station) ended the night on a slightly higher level than in the Irish bar.
