We left Franz Joseph about 8, our first stop was at Lake Matheson, It was a gorgeous sunny day so we sat outside and had a coffee to wake us up then headed on the walking trail to the lake. It was beautiful, you could see Mount Cook behing the lake and because of the sunshine you could see the reflection in the lake it was gorgeous.

After this we went to thunderlake waterfull and lake howea which were both gorgeous as well, took loads of pictureS. we then arrived in lake Wanaka about 4pm. It was a really pretty little town with a big lake, we decided we wanted to stay an extra night here so changed our buses then headed down to the lake.

Spent a really nice afternoon just chilling by the lake, I even managed to go for a swim even though the water was freezing!! It was so nice but really strange because we would be laying the in the sun and kind of drift of and when you opened your eyes you could see the lake with mountains behind it with snow!! We stayed down there untill about 7pm and it was still gorgeous sunshine when we left.

That evening we made dinner then went over the road to a really nice bar where we sat outside with the view of the lake and mountains it is so relaxing and peaceful here, I love it.

The following day we took our lunch down to the lake and spent the whole day there, swimming, sunbathing and chilling out, what a life this is!!!

Had an early night as up early again to leave to Queenstown in the morning.
