I wrote this long blog the other day and there was a power outage so I lost it all, so here I go again from the beginning. Halong Bay was absolutely amazing! Definetely my favorite thing that I've gotten to do so far. It was like house boating but on a pirate ship and on the ocean! My flight was long, I'm lucky and slept most of the way but even my knees and back hurt so I imagine other people must have been hurting more than me. It's like going in a time warp because it felt like it was dark for days and they woke you up in the middle of the night to eat dinner, it was weird. Holly Crap I'm in Vietnam!!! You can NOT come to Vietnam without a visa!! My travel agent and all the other people I spoke to were wrong, I should have looked into it better myself. They detained me for 7 hours, it felt like days especially because of the time difference. But miraculously they let me pay them a crazy amount and they made me a visa.
