It is July 4. American Independence Day. It's like Australia Day. We went to the beach near our campsite. We went on the boogie boards and I caught some really big waves and I didn't fall off. There were lots of people on the beach. Dad, Auntie Lee, Lily and I played American football on the beach. We spent a lot of time in the ocean and Lily and Dad got sunburnt. We had homemade kebabs for dinner and we cooked them on hot rocks. They were nice. We then went to see the fireworks. There were lots of them up and down the coast. We could see them all from our vantage point on a cliff edge. We lit and released a lantern after decorating it. It took a while for it to fly away but when it did it went far up into the night sky like a hot air balloon.
