Hey. Sorry its been a while since I wrote to you all but we have just been having too much fun!!! I have been thinking though i really need to update everybody on our whereabouts!!!! so here we go......
I think i left off at sydney. So we arrived in Sydney after our over night bus and woke up to crossing the harbour bridge with a view out to the opera house....not a bad view for first thing in the morning. I havent really got a lot to tell you about what we did in Sydney other than we did all the touristy things like going to the opera house, walking through the botanical gardens, going to the top of the sky tower, and of course looking around all the shops in the centre of Sydney! We had a gorgeous weather whilst we were there and we enjoyed a lovely drink by the opera house looking over to the harbour bridge....again not a bad view!!! We met a few people in our hostel in Sydney and enjoyed a night out in Sydney even tho it was in the backpacker area....we still had fun though! We also went to the blue mountains which is an hour outside of Sydney and is a spectacular place with amazing views of the blue mountains, we spent the day trekking through the mountains and the day was made all the more entertaining by this crazy american girl that was on our tour who by 8 in the morning had already worked her way through a bottle of champagne and was half way through a bottle of red wine on the bus! Lets just say she was loud and funny but then got annoying and saying things that she shouldnt really have said as she was quite drunk! She ended the afternoon asleep on the bus all to our relief! We also made a trip to bondi beach which was fun and good to see and say we have been there!
We then ended Austrailia in Melbourne. Arriving in Melbourne after our lovely weather in Sydney was a shock as it was freezing cold....however it only stayed cold on our first day there and we did see the sun by the end of our time there which was good! We did some sightseeing of the city on our first day there and went on a tour around the famous melbourne cricket ground....which i have to say wasnt my idea it was amys but I went along something different....but i actually really enjoyed it and it was definatly well worth seeing...we got quite a lot of factual knowledge about cricket and the ground from it!! The next day we met up with one of amys friends from home who is living in St Kildas just outside Melbourne so we spent the afternoon there with her. That night we met up with a friend Ian who we met further up the coast in Agnes Water and seeing as it was nearly amys birthday we met him for a birthday drink with him and his mates and it ended up in being a funny good night out! Ian then decided to come along with us the next day to drive the great ocean road....which would have been great fun....however we were all way too hungover and it decided to rain! So we spent the day feeling sick on the winedy ocean roads and not really seeing the sights, and when it started to rain we decided we had had enough and just drove back! All in all not a great day but we did have a laugh at how bad the day had turned out to be! That was our last day in Austrailia and it was rubbish haha but we had a good laugh about it!
New Zealand!!!!!!!!
New Zealand I have to start off by saying is one of the most amazing countries I have ever seen!!!! Its just spectacular...its like your inside a picture perfect postcard the whole time!!!
We flew to Christchurch were we met two lads on our flight who were going to the same place as us so we decided to meet up with them on the first day and we went to see some Mauri dancing where they do the Hacker which was interesting! As it was Amys birthday the day we flew to New Zealand we thought that we best celebrate her birthday so we met the lads for a night out and had a really good time! There wasnt really a lot to do in Christchurch as most places were still shut from the earthquake. So we didnt spend long there. The first place we moved onto was Kai Koura which was just a beautiful small town set by the east coast with snow capped mountains surrounding it. Just gorgeous! We went walking along the coast there and saw a seal coloney. The next day we moved onto Picton which is still on the east coast, again absolutley stunning place and again we just walked across to the next bay and viewed the amazing scenary!
From Picton we travelled to Abel Tasman National Park and along the way we did a spot of wine tasting ( we are civilized travellers you know haha) we arrived in Abel tasman last night. Today we spent the day walking through the national park which again I know I keep saying it but amazing scenary! And then we spent the afternoon sailing back. We have been really lucky with the weather so far in New Zealand as its been really warm and lovely. However the weather is going to change as we move down the west coast! Next on our trip down the coast is Franz Josef where i think we are going to sky dive! And then Queenstown where they have the second highest bunjy jump in the world at 134m!!!!.....should I dare?!!!.....I think so!!!! We have a few smaller stops on the way as well.
Will try and keep you all updated! Absolultey loving New Zealand though...this place is awesome!!!!
Love to all Hannah x x x

Helen Gibbins It's all coming back to me Hannah! I remember thinking - 'not another gorgeous lake/snow-capped mountain view.' Glad you're loving it. xx
dorothy bowling I can just about cope with the sky dive, but don't want to know about it but PLEASE don't do the bunjy jump. Can't cope with that!! xx
Janet Sharples You shouldn't be telling us about crazy jumps! Couldn't think of anything worse. Glad you are enjoying walking though! xx
mum dad says if you do a bunjy jump keep your fingers on your eye balls and wear a nappy. Please don't do it!
Annie Hannah Franz josef is the tiniest place ever, dont think they have sky diving there?! Are you doing the north island, do it in Taupo if you are. I understand how amazing it is, think abel tasman is the most gorgeous walk i have ever been on. Whilst you're at the bungy, do the swing too, its great. Please don't tell me when you are in Queenstown, i may cry with jealousy. Miss you lots xxx
