After a 16 hour coach journey with a man snoring very loudly behind us for most of the way, we arrived in Puerto Iguazu. Were staying in the Hostel Inn just outside the town and we're enyoing it so much. The place has a massive pool so we've been spending quite a lot of our time sunburing, again, and they cook really good bbq buffets (all you can eat!).
Yesterday, we did the trip around the Argentinian side of the falls. It was one of the most beautiful things weve ever seen. The falls are huge, never ending, and more amazing than we imagined. It was nice seeing the fat little caotis too, like racoons but with longs noses who like to eat rubbish, including toilet paper, out of the bins. Gross.
One of the highlights of our day was taking a 15 minute boat trip into the falls. The boat stopped for a while when right in the plunge pools of the water falls. we thought We'd get a nice view but it was impossible to see anything as it was if we were right underneath the falling water. Needless to say we got absolutely soaked, and our clothes still havent dried.
We both agree that it was one of the best days we've had so far.
We're still really enjoying travelling, and realising the value of mid afternoon siestas as everything is a bit non stop here.
Tomorrow we leave for Punta del Este in Uruguay, which we dont know much about but hopefully will be a nice patch of sun sea and sand.
Hope you're all enjoying the lovely English weather.
