Mon 28th Nov
Well we made it to Sydney in one piece just thanks to my amazing driving skills :o). We did get a bit lost thoe and ended up driving over the harbour bridge which want intentional and was in completely the wrong direction but at the same time was amazing :o). We finally found our hostel Sydney central YHA and Sarah ran and checked our stuff in before we drove to drop the car off!
The hostel was really nice and when we checked in after dropping the car off we saw a YHA staff member who knew and recognised us from Canberra YHA, not sure if that's a good or a bad thing!!

Tues 29th Nov
The weather was so nice and we woke up really excited! We walked down to darling harbour and did a lil train ride around so we could see what there was to do properly. After the train ride we walked through a shopping centre to get out of the sun for a bit before heading towards the Chinese botanical gardens.
The Chinese gardens were lovely, so relaxing. You could dress in authentic Chinese dress and have photos taken which we passed on. A teenage girl was dressed up with her parents taking photos and she looked so embarrassed bless her! We had some lunch there of vegetarian Chinese muffins which were actually quite nice :o). That evening we went to scubar which is a bar next to the hostel and met a few people in there.

Wed 30th Nov
We went to passus markets in the morning which was pretty cool and got a few lil bits to keep. After the market we walked to harbour bridge and the Opera house, it was amazing. We had lunch by the harbour overlooking the Opera house. As we walked around the harbour there was lots of people entertaining including a man playing the diggerydoo which we had our photo taken with. We then watch this bloke do some juggling and lucky me for called up to help lol so funny!! We then walked to the Opera house, we decided not to go in as we will do that in the new year when we are back in Sydney. We walked back through the botanical gardens which were beautiful. It was another amazing day where it feels so surreal that I'm actually here!!!

Thurs 1st December
I can't actually believe its December already it's gone so quick!!
We went shopping today down Pitt street and to a massive Westfield, neither of us were really in a shopping mood and the weather had changed again. Just our luck apparently it's the wettest nov they have had in 30 years lol never mind. We had a leisurely lunch with a glass of wine then headed back to the hostel. We spent the late afternoon/ evening chilling out with our room mates having a few drinks then deciding to head out in the evening to a boarders and bikinis night at scubar, it was a really good nite :o)!!

Friday 2nd Dec
Today we took a walk down to the rocks where there we some nice quaint boutiques which were really nice to walk around and we went through somewhere called nurses walk where we stopped and shared a really nice dessert. We then walked on to the harbour bridge. On our way we stopped a the quay where we looked at this really nice restaurant which it ought to be at $288 for a 3 course meal. We went up these satire next to the restaurant and found the most amazing look out over the Opera house and harbour bridge, we hung around there for a bit enjoying the view and taking lots of photos but mainly in hope a rich business man would come and ask us to join them unfortunately they didn't but it's nice to dream lol :o).
That evening we went back to the rocks as they had a moonlit market on. We had a look at all the stalls and had some mini pancakes with chocolate sauce they were soon nice. We then walked back to the little lookout we found earlier in the day to get some pictures of it all at night with the christmas lights up. It was the first time we both felt Christmassy at last :o)!!

Saturday 3rd Dec
We went back to Wollongong for the night as Tiffany invited us. She kindly picked us up from a nearby train station and drove us back to hers. We had a really good girly night out starting with pizza and drinks on the balcony before going out.

Sun 4th Dec
In the morning we watched a DVD called the war of tomorrow which is an australian film which was surprising good :o). Tiffany then drove us back to the hostel!!

Mon 5th Dec
Today I woke up feeling really home sick, we had breakfast at a Starbucks and decided to cheer ourselves up by getting our nails done and a pedicure, I'm not sure this is really a travelling thing but it made me feel better anyway. That evening we went down to scubar where they had crab racing we then came home and I skyped mum and dad which made me feel happier too just to see and hear them :o).

Tues 6th Dec
We went to the Sydney olympic park today which I'm sorry to say we didn't really enjoy or understand it as it was all shut for Christmas. We had some lunch then came back into the city where we moved hostels as we had no further reservation in Sydney central YHA. We moved to world square backpackers hostel which is nice.
We want out that night for a few drinks and an early night as we had our RSA the following day. A few quiet drinks never ends well. We met some lads from chaffed hundred and surprise surprise they new Sarah from
A chicargos night out it was really funny. We spent the night with them and had a really good time and helped massively with the home sickness just to hear some Essex accents and have the banter like back home :o). We stumbled in at 4.00am and I sent my alarm for 7.30. Not good!!

Wed 7th Dec
We got up feeling a lot fresher than we thought actually and got ready to go to our RSA course (responsible service of alcohol) which is a licence we need to be able to work in a bar. After our course we sorted our flights to the gold
Coast and accommodation out for a festival (summerfielddayze) which we are going to on the 2nd Jan.
We had dinner that evening at scruffy which is an Irish pub which we went to with our room mates. It was an interesting evening watching the dragg karaoke.

Thurs 8th Dec
We had a lazy day today and just went shopping for a little bit and had an afternoon nap I think the late nights have started to catch up with us!

Friday 9th Dec
We checked out of our hostel as we fly to Perth early house of tomorrow morning so will be sleeping at the airport. We had another walk around darling harbour and have just had a chill out day before the Perth adventure begins :o)!!
