Howdy kids - back and updating the blog - been having a little too much fun to focus on it for a while.
Made my way to KL and got to Hannah's early evening on the Thursday. Her Kondo is absolutely beautiful, and she really does have such a fantastic life in KL. Her school is beautiful and she has some fantastic friends. I got to stay in one of her spare rooms (that's right, she has two), and on the first night she took me and Mike out for a Chinese feast. She even treated me and her to a bottle of wine, which is exactley what I have been missing - bottle of wine and a gossip with an old friend! We later met some of her school friends for drinks.
I got up early the next day and made my way into town to get my free ticket for the Petronas Twin Towers (picture above - you get to walk along the Sky Bridge in the middle for a fabulous view of the city). I then got accosted by a lesbian, but I will bore you all with that story another day - seriously it was 8.30am in the morning, and I just wasn't ready for the attack!! I made my way to the main look-out tower in KL, and had a very informative guide to the city. I then walked around 'The Rainforest in the City' and got attacked my biting bugs from all angles (I was assured they weren't malarial so not to worry - sod the fact my legs looked like I had been eaten alive for 4 days after!!). KL is a very cool place, but unfortunately after Singapore it isn't so impressive. The towers are amazing though, and standing at the very bottom and looking up is a real expereince - I was there for hours (whilst fighting off the lesbian!!)
I finally gave in and went to the medical centre aswel that day - my jungle bite was not just a very large oozing hole in my leg and it was hurting alot - I think 2 weeks of ignoring was enough. Turned out it was quite a bad infection and I was lucky it hadn't spread - I was cleaned up and given alot of bandages and cream and some anti-biotics. It's looking alot better now, and my fellow travellors won't have to carry around a one legged backpacker as they were concerned they might!
That evening we went to Hannah's school's Christmas Bizare - jesus - that would an eye-opener. There were no brick-a-brack stalls there - there was genuinely beautiful jewellery and really posh mums and dads. Mr Air Asia's kids go to the school - there's lots of money there! We then hit the town with Hannah's fab friends and after a few too many Jaeger Bombs, made our way home. I was a tad unwell the next day, but being sick in my own luxury ensuite bathroom was totally fine by me!
Booked my bus journey and went into China Town, then in the evening we went to the AMAZING Sky Bar - OH MY GOD - its a must. Its at the top of The Traders Hotel, and is a bar around a huge swimming pool - its so posh and totally gorgeous. The view of the Twin Towers at night is outstanding, and the perfect end to a brilliant few days!
FYI - My camera is being repaired at the mo, so photo's to follow x x
