OUCH!!........
Yes it hurt when we left Judi's house....back to being travellers. It isnt all that bad really it's actually very fun you all should try it even you oldies.
Anyway first stop was a small seaside relaxation town of Yamba, 2 hours away from Byron bay. It took 10 hours to get there from Sydney we had a couple of stops and on the first stop!!....... at about 3am a group of people in cars called me a f*cking white dog!!... to be honest i probably did look like a dog ( it was way to early in the morning) but i do not except being called white!! iv tried so hard to achieve this tan!!.haha joking aside Yamba was very relaxing but thats all ive got to say about Yamba!! Exciting stuff!.
Next was Byron Bay!, we stayed in a place called Arts factory which was set in the Bush. it has these lizard dragon things which are huge!!! Just roaming around and australian turkeys (i was tempted to BBQ these on a few occassions). We stayed on the Island retreat! in a tent which had a balcony over looking a huge pond (too small to be a lake) we both kept waking up In The middle of the night to evacuate spiders. Byron Bay is the Hippie district i think, its got loads of quirky shops which i LOVE! think i may turn into a hippie actually... there so COOL. We walked upto the lighhouse which took us two hours could of done it alot faster but we took abit of a long detour! But we did see dolphins swimming in the sea. Beach here is massive!. Wev had loads of free beer tokens so thought we'd make use of them so we didn't actually buy one drink that night ( taking a leaf out of James book!!).
On our last day we went to the most random place ever called Nimbin ( google it and you'll see what I mean!) it's the weed capital of Australia (dont quote me on that!) and you can tell! Even the wildlife look stoned. The towns only got a row of About ten shops on one side, there's a nimbin museum which is the weirdest strangest Museum ever I don't even know where to begin to describe the place! I've never taken drugs but inside the museum is how I think I'd see the world if I did!. The tour guide was weird too half the stories he told us I think he just made up, at one point i thought he was going to over turn the bus luckily he didn't, the tyre just burst so we all had to wait to be picked up by another bus. The whole day was just weird and random.
We then went to surfers paradise!only stayed Here for one night which I'm so gutted about! The area is built up with high rise towers, that's not too nice but the sea was the nicest iv been in to, so nice I even got my hair wet! ( I don't normally do that!). Mark rented a surf board for the day which was 20 dollars, he did knock himself out a few times but also stood up too. I've got s,e really good pics of him surfing. Our tans are back thanks to surfers paradise! Id say it was close to 40 yesterday!!.
And now we are in Brisbane......hmmm il update you when we have had more than an hour here because so far I'm not interested in this place what so ever!! It could be even worse than Melbourne on my ratings list! ( sorry Becki for beginning a sentence with and) hopefully going to a water park tomorrow!.
