El Nido - Torrential rain, tour c, secret beaches and great food!!
Today was our last full day in El Nido, so despite the weather we were going on a tour regardless.
The heavens did open, and we did spend the first hour of the boat journey getting battered by the rain. However, you can't really complain when your first stop is a secret beach, where you have to swim through a little hole in the rock to get to yet another perfect beach.
We decided to sack of the cultural church stop, and go straight to the lunch spot, which was another perfect beach, that people can do an overnight camp on (definitely on the to do list if we come back). We spent an hour, risking life a limb climbing boulders for epic photos, chilling with the beach dogs and eating another great lunch cooked by our tour guides.
Our last two stops were the hidden beach (the wasn't that hidden) and another beach where we had an ice cream from a man playing an ice cream song repeatedly (...it's so crunch, it's so munch...repeatedly), and doing a spot of snorkelling (probably the best yet). After a quick nap it was then time to head back to the mainland, where we grabbed a coffee and the second ice cream of the day
